Prints of this painting are available here at Fine Art America.

A view from our table during the auction. The auctioneer is the guy in the back with the microphone.
The Forestry Education Auction at the Sierra Cascade Logging Conference was a huge success. They raised a total of $86,500 Friday night for their educational activities. My painting, A Ghost in the Forest, contributed $900 to the fund. It was a successful night.

The Willamette Steam Donkey
I decided to make prints available of the pen and ink portion of the steam donkey painting. It’s available on Fine Art America.

Congratulations! A truly wonderful painting. I think it should have gone for twice as much, though 🙂

Thank you Laura! I wish you’d been there to bid it up. 😉

Me too. I have no problem being the bidder-upper. The worst thing that can happen is you buy some wonderful art! I never bid on anything I wouldn’t truly want. I’m going to shoot for the moon, for the sake of the artist, of course, but then I’ve got a rather interesting collection 😛

Thank you Linda. I love this kind of history. I find evidence of past activities in the woods all the time. It’s so interesting to try to decipher what it all means.

They really came out and supported the auction. I don’t think they were all they knowledgeable about art, but they like logging art so that’s what I gave them.

Great drawing – inspiring. We have a coastal area near us with loads of dumped, rotting winches and old engines from boats; my next project! Thank you for liking my drawings.
