That looks surprisingly like a bit of English or Welsh countryside Tim, I thought all the trees around you would be conifers, obviously not. Beautiful photo
We live in the valley where it is mostly oak woodland, but I work in the higher elevations around the valley, which is mostly coniferous forest. We do have gray pine in the valley, but they are shape more like the hardwoods than a typical cone shaped conifer.
That is/was a beautiful sunset! We had a really beautiful one today as well. The foreground was gray, but there was a long horizontal sliver of strong peach that colored the sky. I had the luxury of seeing it reflected in the water as well! z
Colors that can not be imagined to be so beautiful Those pinks are eye popping. That looks to be on y’alls pond. . But maybe I am wrong. That is a gorgeous scene. Have you painted any of the sunsets?
I know what you mean Yvonne. I can’t even imagine how to reproduce the brilliance. That is our pond right in the back yard. I haven’t painted any sunsets for a long time. I guess I’m due. I’m on a big project right now, but will have time for it soon. ๐
Hello I wanted to thank you for following my blog…I’m following yours too, I’m also the “Doodlinggal”. I really like your blog, with your photos (especially the dogs!) and paintings.
Amazing that you posted this yesterday. As I was driving home, thousands of miles away from you, I viewed a similar burst of color at sunset. Must have been a “sunset” sort of day!
Yes, beautiful scenery

Isn’t it wonderful to witness these double pink moments? One in the sky and one reflected on the water.

It’s a good thing the reflections are there or I would have asked you if you ran for water to stop that fire….great picture ๐

I had to go back and look after your comment. I was so taken by the sunset I failed to notice that the treetops were on fire.
