It’s interesting that my state has apparently ended up with the moniker “Wolverine State” even though the animal was never officially named the state animal and it has only had a couple of questionable “sightings” in decades. There are lots of legendary stories about it so I guess you can take your pick!
That’s kind of funny. Give them time and there will be more coming. Because of the protections given to the the big predators they are slowly expanding their ranges back to their historic ranges. Some not so slowly like the wolves. I believe it’s only a matter of time until we have wolverines and grizzlies permanently back in California. I don’t expect it will happen quickly, but it will happen.
