Fall has hit its peak in the high country. We were in the mountains for the weekend. The leaves have turned and were dropping enthusiastically, but Sunday was the day. Sunday was the day that Mother Nature performed her striptease act. A cold front moved in and brought with it gusty Fall winds. The oaks and maple were freeing a multitude of leaves with each gust. They swirled through the air like thousands of gold finches. These mountains were the Northern gold fields of the California Gold Rush. On Sunday we enjoyed Mother Nature’s annual gold rush.
Blitz refused to go with “Yellow” as the theme for this post, because she really thought we should do “Red” all over again. When I explained that the leaves were “golden” and not “yellow” she was happy. I know they’re yellow, but let’s just keep that between us.
