They do look on the large side. Those toms can travel in fairly large flocks. I have seen upwards of 20 at a time in the winter here.

I always like seeing them. As a kid I’d never seen wild turkeys. Then in the 80’s they started taking hold. Now they’re everywhere. They’ve been such a remarkable success out in the west.
