My very good friends Jan and Chris requested otters for this weeks Wild Wednesday. So that’s what they get, otters! Plus as a bonus, Golden Retrievers, since they have a pack of goldens of their own.

Love the otters. I saw some earlier this year swimming around the marina at Changi in Singapore, where I wasn’t expecting them. They are great fun to watch. I gather that they are quite common there as we had seen some other signs telling people not to approach them.

They must be the sea otters. We have them on the coast. These are river otters. They’re smaller cousins.

Otters are the funniest and most playful creatures! I’m surprised they didn’t want to play with Sailor! 😉

They are fun to watch. However, they are wild animals and three otters and one dopey dog is a bad combination. I was very concerned when Sailor was out with them. He’s already had two incidents where he was almost drown by raccoons.

Oh my goodness about the raccoons incident! You’re absolutely right, of course, about it being a dangerous mix with wild animals and dogs. I’m glad none of them were hurt!

They are fun to watch. I’ll see them around the mill and around home. But then again, we live across the road from a wildlife area.

Yes, they are! How great to live next to a wildlife area!

Three of them?! Oh how lovely. Sign of a healthy ecosystem, I’m told, when otter start showing up.

Good to know! These three were in the middle of our mill site. They like to move around the different ponds and ditches at the mill.

I guess it depends whose larder is being raided or whose screwdriver handles are being chewed done to nubs!
