They are very common here. We even have a wild patch in our front yard that we encouraged to spread. Although, I think they are a different variety of wyethia.

Don’t tell, but I pick wildflowers for Mary when I get the chance! 😉 I doubt that this specific variety is available, but I bet there are other varieties of wyethia that are. And I bet Ilex of http://midwesternplants.org/ would know which ones.

What a vibrant yellow. Is it a very tall plant? I’m not sure your woolly mammoth would be able to forage something teeny. LOL
