That’s a collapsed teepee burner. Decades ago they were used to burn up wood waste from the sawmills. Sawdust, bark and other wood debris would be burned inside of it. This one is slowly melting into the earth as it decomposes. I love the irony of the tree growing out of it.

Not too much here. Just south in the valley they get some terrible fog. The kind that causes big car pile ups.
