Very nice, Tim. You caused me to have a chuckle (especially that last photo) early in the morning when I normally wouldn’t be in the mood to chuckle about anything!!!
She must have known, because she just stayed there eating while I took pictures. She even let me quite close as you can see. I think she was a bit of a “Prima Doe-nna!” 😉
I understand why Kings and Queens wouldn’t eat cow or pig meat. They ate deer. There is something so sophisticated and luxurious about deer, eating romantic blue flowers.
The big photo is an overdoses cuteness.

I love the picture and the title….I’m not sure how may young people would make the connection, but I do!! I’ll be humming that song as I go out and leave some veggies for the deer in my backyard!!

Tim,
This one made me laugh out loud. We’ve probably all experienced flowers being eaten by deer and it’s not funny. So why do I think it is here?

It’s all good Linda, this doe was waaaaay out in the woods eating wild lupine. Your garden is safe! At least from this one anyway. 😉

Great photos. We grow Bluebonnets which are a kind of lupine and the deer do not seems to eat them here. Yours must taste better!

Apparently, they must, because she was mowing them like a hungry herd of caribou!

She did have some attitude. I stopped got out and took some pictures. Then I moved closer for some better shots and she didn’t even budge.

She was so funny eating the flowers and seemed so annoyed that stopped the take her picture. But she wasn’t going to leave the buffet!
