Beautiful photo. But sort of intimidating as the woods look a bit eerie. I would not want to be in there alone and/or withour a good gun to shoot a puma/bear or whatver looked as if it were going to kill me. But maybe just shooting over a large predator would deter an attack. Maybe I am getting a bit dramactic but I don’t know that neck of the woods. And what you do or don’t know does not hurt to be prepared. That’s how I was raised by my parents and I have not forgotten.

“Be prepared” the boy scout motto. It is always good to be prepared. No pumas here although you could run into a bear, Mountain Lion, bobcat, coyote, rattlesnake, yellowjackets, bald faced hornets, poison oak, rabid racoon, but other then that it is perfectly safe.
