Such a beautiful bird. I always am thrilled when they show up here. This spring we had quite an unusual thing happen. A bald eagle attacked and killed a great blue heron in the air right in front of our eyes over the lake. It was spectacular and horrifying at the same time. I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes.
