Such fun! May favorite part is laying in the snow so I can dig out the snow under the middle of the truck. ☃️

Hahaha! That is so frustrating!

Wow!!! Bliss’s look “what is happening here?” Did she help you dig into the snow? 😀

Heck no! They love the snow. They had all kinds of time to play in the snow while I was digging out. They think we should do this more often.

We don’t get much snow at home, but the mountains are close.

Haha….been there, done that so many times. 🙂 were you dealing with Sierra cement?

It was Sierra cement in the coast range. Spring snow drifts, you know the type. I hit it full on hoping to bust all the way through. Instead just rode up on top and sank. Followed by lots of digging.

Ha! I can imagine….I could hear how sloppy wet by listening to your wheels, 😉 lol I used to carry a shovel in the truck when we lived a little higher up where we had more snow, they come in handy!

Yes, I nearly always have one.

Did you have a brick on the gas pedal or something??

Nope, it was at idle in 4 low and I was really really high centered. That was my old truck too. I was busting drifts so the marking crew could get in and out of some units.

You need Max Trax – we carry them in case we get bogged, but for us it would be mud or sand, but I’m sure they would work with snow too. Saves the painful digging!

I had to look those up. They’re pretty handy. We’ve got something like that too. They’re called tree branches! 😉

Yes! A lot cheaper and you should always have those available! Not so many in the desert though …

I bet the max trax work a lot better though.

They are pretty good, but one thing people have to be aware of is the traction of the wheels on them buries them quite deep, about a metre sometimes. They have a rope on them which needs to be left free to pull them out, or else they have to be dug out, which isn’t really what you want!

Too bad they don’t sell them here. I’d buy one!

You caught the “caught in snow” thing quite well. Definitely recognized this as something I’ve experienced before 🙂 Which is why I now live in Florida!

Move to Florida! Now that’s an excellent way to avoid getting stuck in the snow.

I’m right there with you Don. I spin my wheels once and awhile, but that time I was literally spinning my wheels.

Better you than me. LOL I stay home when the snowflakes fly. Some years it’s bad, some it’s not. I’m always hoping for not.

We had a bit last night. We should be good for two years or so. it’s when I’m at work that I play in the snow.
