Last week naughty Sailor dog busted out of the yard and set out on a field trip. Mary and I had to split up to search for him. She took the car and went up our road to check our neighbors. I went on foot through the foothills behind our house. After covering about a mile or so over hill and dale, she texted me. He was about a half mile down the road playing with the neighbor kids. I was relieved and annoyed all at the same time and began hiking home.
It was just before sunset and the light was fading, but warm. The foothills are full of spring wildflowers. This was an excellent opportunity to shoot some wildflowers on my trek back. Excellent, except that I didn’t have my camera! All I had was my iPhone, and so phone pictures it was. They aren’t as good as the Nikon could have done, but I work with what I have. These are my iFlowers!
I like that you caught a feather too! (K)

Gaaa! Nothing like chasing a dig across the countryside!
Love the flowers! I get stumped sometimes also… frustrating!

I’ve have chased dogs over these hills for years, darn dogs! I’m sure it won’t be the last time either. I will probably have to dig out my plant key and do a proper investigation, but I haven’t had time.

A great variety of wild flowers. I take a lot of photos with my phone as I always have it in my pocket. They are not so bad.

At least I had my phone. So I shouldn’t complain.

Thanks Joy! I hate when he gets out, although it doesn’t happen very often. Too many bad things can happen. We were relieved to get him back.

Nothing wrong with phone photos!

True, it did a pretty good job. It’s just that my Nikon spoils me with it’s quality.

Beeeeyoootiful wildflowers! I never have a good camera with me so all my photos are phone-bad. 😉 I’d never have known these were taken with the phone.

Phone-bad! I didn’t know yours were phone pics. That’s it, from now on nothing but phone pics! 😆

LOL! Life is easier when you don’t have to lug a camera around. 😀

My first thought is how lucky you are to have these flowers close by! I know what you mean about the difference in quality, but the phone pics also have an immediacy that often one can’t get with a ‘proper’ camera. They are great pics, and I’m so pleased you captured them and brought them home. The evening light is lovely on them too. Thank goodness Sailor was found safe and sound.

I love this time of year when our wildflowers are blooming at home. In another month things will dry out, so we enjoy it while we can. i probably use the phone more than I admit, but I do love my camera.
