Pronghorn and antelope diverge after class. Pronghorn are in their own family (Antilocapridae) so they’re really genetically distinct and different from true antelopes. 🙂
Got it. That’s like Douglas-fir is not a true fir. True fir is the genus Abies, but for Douglas-fir it’s Psuedotsuga. Which is funny, because Psuedotsuge means false hemlock. So confusing.

Great photo. We saw a few on our one trip out west when our kids were still at home. I wish I had some closeups, but they were all far away.
