Tim, I loved the photo capturing the heron’s reflection. And the one of you and bliss shows true love! I saw mallards and a great blue heron during recent flooding here. So this was a great reminder of special days in my neck of the woods. 😉
Thank you Linda! I hope the flooding back there didn’t cause you any problems. After all the drought, we’re on the verge of flooding here. The rain slowed today, so the runoff is starting to go down.
Love the heron photo, that captured reflection is magic. I passed 8 young Wood Ducks on the roadside this morning. Most people slow down but they were on an 80 km zone so I hope they were all OK.
Thank you Leonie! I hope so too! We have wood ducks here. I don’t know if they’re the same. Our wood ducks are pretty spooky and wouldn’t be caught dead near any road.
Bliss is a sweety! We’ve had a ton rain, but with enough breaks to let the runoff go down. So far no flooding. Fortunately, all this rain is putting a real dent in out drought.
It was kind of cool with that heron. It was fishing and I was trying to get it grabbing a little fish. Instead I got the water arc. I didn’t see it until I reviewed the pictures later. I got a new camera at Christmas with a much faster shutter. It’ll be fun to try out.
Bliss is waiting out in the truck now. She hates it when I don’t bring her. She’s a funny dog.
Wow, your shutter speed is pretty darn good already, if you captured those drops in motion!
Smart dog to want to go with you all the time. Mine has taken to getting into stuff when I leave her in the camper we live in. Like today when I left her so I could do laundry, she found the bag of little detergent pods (liquid, luckily), ripped open the bag, and bit into one of the pods…I freaked, and after washing her mouth, called the vet, who said she might have diarrhea…then thought I’d better count the pods to make sure she hadn’t ingested more…all accounted for, except for the one she tasted. Such a sweet pain in the ass. Crate needed!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I lost a ton of my follow links a long time ago. Added to the fact that I haven’t been blogging much, and I’ve missed so many great people and posts. Wonderful pictures and an especially nice one of you and Bliss. 🙂
I had been having some squirrely problems with WordPress for quite a while. Some of my follows would disappear. There was no rhyme or reason to it. When I took a long break from blogging, I came to back to a majority of my follows missing. About two weeks ago, I finally found the list of people who follow me, and it’s on my to-do list to re-follow my favorites. You made it a little easier for me today. 🙂
I love the way Bliss is leaning on you!

She is pretty happy. It’s hard to believe she was near death for so long last spring.

The dog photo is so sweet. Have you gotten any of the flooding in your location?

Your water reflection shot of the heron, with the arc of water droplets, is mind blowing.
And I’m glad to see that Bliss is riding shotgun!
