Forestry Friday … My View

  The view from my work. These are a few pictures from the fall woods last week. I was in Trinity County, the part that didn’t burn. Being out here every week is one of perks of a forester’s life. Somebody has to do it, so it might as well be me!



  All in a day’s work.

What a great place to work. I once had the dream to be a Park/Forest Ranger, but I do have a tiny woods in my yard…where I am the Ranger!

  Yes, the trees are quite and still. Gently they sway peacefully. But then when you don’t expect it, there’s a panther, a pink one!!!

Beautiful colors. Our fall has been drab so far because of the drought. I think the first big rain and wind is going to just blow all of the browned leaves right off.

  Our colors have been pretty lackluster overall this year too. It’s because of our drought. The trees are pretty stressed.
