It’s day four! I was tagged to do the 3 pieces of art a day for 5 days, Art Challenge, by Mark Mitchell. Hey Mark, this is starting to feel like homework. The theme for today is “Fur, Fins and Feathers.” I put up something old and something new.
I would love to see Ruth of Ruth’s Artwork do the Art Challenge. I picked Ruth because of her amazing pen and ink/watercolor, mixed media, architectural illustrations. She also does wonderful animals. She does lots of fantastic commissions. I recommend you check out her site.
Prints are available at Fine Art America.
Truly Beautiful paintings!

I love this ‘fur’ one! He looks so relaxed – like was it a hot day?

Love all these Tim! Wolverines are such strange creatures aren’t they!

They are indeed. Who would have thought they could put that much orneriness in such a small package.

Tim,
I liked your collection of fur, fins, and feathers. Nice alliteration too.
Perhaps the wolverine isn’t being lazy. He could be dreaming of swimming or flying, like his other featured friends.

It a wolverine Linda, he’s dreaming of eating. 😉

If you’re right Tim, and it sounds like you know wolverine behavior well, he should get to it…action is essential!

And he does. We did two books about Buddy the wolverine. He’s the only documented wolverine in California. In fact this painting was part of my getting aquatinted with wolverines.

Tim,
You and Mary accomplish great things and are making a positive difference in the world. Never doubt it! So glad that you two have had an active part in documenting wolverine behavior, turkey vulture behavior, and so many other species. Then there’s your work with forestry education and preservation…the list goes on and on. I’m a fan! Can you tell?

It’s not Mary. I get home from work. I fix dinner, because my Mary is immersed in a big project. The dogs and cats have to eat too. Then I have figure out a theme and what to post. Next it’s who to tag. Finally, I post it on FB and WP. It takes so much time that I don’t get any painting done. The good side is that it’s fun to get the feedback and it’s done tonight!

You are one busy guy! I am just getting started on my Thursday Drawing project – the whole day was devoted to you know what! Anyway, I need to buckle down and get an hour in before the light is gone.

What a detailed, perfect drawing, Tim. I am visiting a bird sanctuary in Florida called Pelican Cove. Its in Sarasota. There are nesting birds everywhere and many enthusiastic bird watchers. I think you would enjoy it!
