This morning’s sunrise over the otter pond at the sawmill.

This morning, sunrise was quite a treat for the eyes.  Even in the middle of a large industrial site you can find a moment to enjoy nature.

  1. These logs will be cut into lumber. The water preserves them in good condition until they are ready to be sawn. When they are watered they don’t split, stain or rot. We usually don’t log much in the winter, so we store up enough logs that the mill runs non-stop all year long.
