Fall has hit its peak in the high country. We were in the mountains for the weekend. The leaves have turned and were dropping enthusiastically, but Sunday was the day. Sunday was the day that Mother Nature performed her striptease act. A cold front moved in and brought with it gusty Fall winds. The oaks and maple were freeing a multitude of leaves with each gust. They swirled through the air like thousands of gold finches. These mountains were the Northern gold fields of the California Gold Rush. On Sunday we enjoyed Mother Nature’s annual gold rush.
Blitz refused to go with “Yellow” as the theme for this post, because she really thought we should do “Red” all over again. When I explained that the leaves were “golden” and not “yellow” she was happy. I know they’re yellow, but let’s just keep that between us.
Some years back I had the privilege of visiting the South. I was treated to Fall colours still live with me. I’ll never forget. Such a magnificent season for you guys. Wish we had it like that. Enjoy. The images are marvellous.

Our colors are less impressive in the valley, but the mountains are spectacular. Today I’m in Arkansas and the trees are really starting to change.

.Blitz harmonizes with the color of the tree and the pine neeles covering the ground, making a pretty scene as well. The colors of the tree leaves are beautiful but Blitz created her own scenery.

Here I do not see these colors in nature. It’s always summer, I think we do not respect the seasons anyway. But the pictures are beautiful and of course our muse still reigning. She is the most beautiful of all. Laughing a lot here just watching her in a Queen’s pose! She knows exactly what to take from you!!!! kakakakakakakaka

Same thing happened here last night. I think Halloween just wanted to see some skeleton trees so it sent in a nice windstorm overnight.

Blitz sounds like she has a lot in common with Ted! And I love the beautiful photos. Mother Nature performed her act here last night, as we had high winds and rain here in Nashville. Have a great weekend!
