Forestry Friday is a new weekly feature on The Forester Artist. Features will be whatever I want them to be, but related to forestry and forests. As you may have guessed this week’s theme is “Red”.
Glad to see you back from your blogcation! 😉 I love red! My car is red, my hair is red, my living room is red…. You get picture . Thanks for sharing more red!
Thank you Jill. I was only going to put up one picture and make it a quickie post, but you know how that goes. It just kept growing. I’m looking forward to doing many more.
Tim super to see you back here with your weekly feature addition… I saw red and got worried.. but was very calm once I saw Blitz gorgeous red picture. Have a good weekend.
Thanks Doron! It will be fun to do if I can keep up on it. I added Blitz just for the gratuitous likes she gets. Her ratings are higher the mine! I thinik she will have to be a regular.
Lovely post Tim, Its great how we get a great flourish of colour from the leaves before they leave us until next spring. Blitz’s pose is wonderful against the reflective water backdrop. Looking forward to more next week 🙂
Love this idea Tim ! Looking at your glorious ‘REDS’ makes me look forward to seeing our Autumn arrive dressed for the party 😉
Ah ((Blitz))
Enjoy your weekend !
Blitz fits right in with all of those lovely reds. Our trees have only just begun to turn. It should be a pretty fall for a change with the rain we have recently gotten. The last 3 years have have been too dry for much color.
I bet that is true with Yellowknife being so far North. With so many mountains surrounding us it seem to come in stages here. Starting up high and working its way down.
Thanks Megan! Except…..Blitz is a girl, but don’t worry, I won’t tell her that you called her a boy. She would blame Ted anyway. She says, “you can’t trust a cat.”
Tim,
Lovely! I got a chuckle out of the captions about showing off and paint splatter. Clever! Thanks for sharing. I like your new Friday post topic.

My favorite is the red bud. No, it is the red dog. Definitely not the poison oak!!

Similar comment to mixedupmeme; that is, I’m hoping one can look AND touch the Red Dog (as opposed to the poison oak).

Let me tell you about the red dog. If I didn’t touch her, she would just get into my lap on her own!

I hope you have a glorious Fall. Our Fall colors are nice this year for California standards, but nothing like what you get back East.

We don’t get much red here…only close to the ground. But all our leaves have fallen and winter is very close now.
