I have been sharing some views of my backyard, here is a view of my front yard. Tim captured some nice shots of last night’s moon rising.
Good fortune indeed. The scene was set and I was lucky enough to look out the window and see it at that moment. I grabbed my camera and ran out the door in my socks, because I didn’t want to take the time to put on my shoes. You know how it can be when every second changes the lighting and the framing. Just call me Lucky!
Can only think “wow”, am pretty spechless about this photo… We are still only in February, but I’m almost tempted to bet this is “the” moon image of 2013! Thanks for sharing!
those shots are stunners! wow, absolutely gorgeous! last night’s moon peeked through the clouds for a few minutes and was lovely, but nothing like this! thanks!

Lovely images Tim with that pinkydusky glow and silhouetted trees …. I feel moon struck 🙂
There’s just someting about a HUGE moon that is very special … what do you call it … a Snow,Wolf, or Crow Moon . I like Wolf Moon .
Thanks, this morning I was watching the moon set and it again look huge. I couldn’t stand it, so I ran and grabbed the camera, but alas I was too slow to get any really good shots. Maybe next month. 😦
I was lucky with this picture because it all happened perfectly, and I was fortune enough to witness it. I have found that the best time to shoot the moon is the twighlight or dawn period when it isn’t completely dark, nor fully light. Also, in the process of figuring it out I have taken lots and lots of lousy pictures!

You have a great fortune and great shots of this moment. Unfortunately the sky at my place is not clear even the moon is not showing up. 😦

Nikon Coolpix P510, it isn’t the most high power camera, but it suits my needs well.

great photo! Great mood, and it’s technically perfect. I tried once or twice to make a photo of the moon and I know it’s not very easy

lovely moon shot, especially with the trees framing it. Quite the original touch to have the sloping hill. Stunning.
